Camp HUGS 2017

This year's Camp HUGS theme was Stress and Anxiety.  The kids and volunteers partook in games and activities to learn about stress and anxiety as it related to their personal situations.  They also learned different relaxation techniques that could help them when they are stressed and experiencing anxiety.  Community volunteers included individuals who taught about the importance of massage, understanding how the brain responds during anxiety, and how to use every day items to help calm yourself.  Each child was able to take home a box full of relaxation tools to help them calm down, thanks to a grant from the Otis Thompson Foundation.
